Agreement is key to Promia strategy for expanding IASM sales to civilian government and commercial market
Baltimore, MD – December 15, 2006 – Promia, Incorporated, a developer of Information Security and Network Monitoring products, announced that it has signed an agreement making Trusted Technologies, LLC an agent to sell Promia Intelligent Agent Security Manager (IASM) network security appliances to government and commercial customers.
The IASM appliance is architecturally designed in a hierarchical, multi-tier network grid; Promia produces IASM appliance models capable of protecting local-, regional-, and global-scope networks. The IASM tracks device and application status, misuse, malicious events, misconfigured equipment and unauthorized access in order to better manage policy throughout complex data networks. IASM collects and consolidates security-relevant events from Promia sensors, host logs, routers, firewalls, network devices, applications, and network security devices and accurately analyzes the events to detect, validate, manage, and automatically respond to security incidents.
Promia’s global-scope IASM 6100 appliance has been validated at Common Criteria EAL 3+ level, approved in the DITSCAP accreditation process and passed the U.S. Navy Shock and Vibration testing for shipboard deployment. IASM model 6100 requires 6U of space in a standard rack, while the regional- and local-scope IASM 3100 unit requires only 4U. The IASM has been developed in cooperation with the US Navy to provide real time review of global U.S. Navy networks by personnel in tiers of Network Operation Centers, and is currently deployed in all fleet U.S. Navy Network Operation Centers around the world.
