8(a) STARS II industry partners are classified in two Constellations. Industry partners in both Constellations have competitive pricing and technical proficiency. Constellation II also includes industry partners with an additional industry credential, such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) or ISO 9001 (quality management system).The Functional areas, within each Constellation are:

1. Custom Computer Programming Services – NAICS 541511 – These industry partners are primarily engaged in writing, modifying, testing, and supporting customized software.
2. Computer Systems Design Services – NAICS 541512 – These industry partners are primarily engaged in planning and designing computer systems that integrate computer hardware, software, and communication technologies. The hardware and software components of the system may be provided by the industry partners as part of integrated services or may be provided by third parties. These industry partners often install the system and train and support system users.
3. Computer Facilities Management Services – NAICS 541513 – Industry partners in this functional area are primarily engaged in providing onsite management and operation of clients’ computer systems and/or data processing facilities, including providing computer systems or data processing support services.
4. Other Computer Related Services – NAICS 541519 – Industry partners in this functional area are primarily engaged in providing computer related services, except for custom programming, systems integration design, and facilities management services. This area includes industry partners providing computer disaster recovery services or software installation service
